Templates are built at A4 by Canva's default but scale cleanly to A3, A2, A1, and US Letter. For most weddings A2 (16.5×23.4 in) at the venue entrance gives the QR code a comfortable scan distance of 1–2 metres.

Once a guest scans and the page loads, the seat assignment is cached. You can also keep the printed template itself as a static fallback (without the QR) showing tables alphabetically, but most couples find the QR is reliable enough on its own.
